How You Can Get Involved
The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for synovial sarcoma, while also improving the lives of patients and families through research and medical advancements. We hope that through raising money and continuing the conversation about synovial sarcoma, we will one day be able to find a cure. Part of our fundraising goes towards the Levine Cancer Institute, an organization that provides cancer care and performs groundbreaking clinical trials in an attempt to find a cure. Additionally, our fundraising efforts go towards helping families of sarcoma patients pay their medical bills.
How Can I Get Involved?
We are so excited and grateful that you want to help us with our mission! There are many different ways you can start working with The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation. Here are a few:
Back-End Event Volunteering
It takes a lot of work to make sure our fundraising events, like the 5K Butterfly Run/Walk and Golf Tournament, run smoothly. We are looking for volunteers to:
- Act as committee members in our organizational meetings
- Reach out to possible corporate sponsors
- Talk to local businesses about donating day-of swag
- Connect with rotary groups for donations
If you think you may be interested in back-end event volunteering, please contact us now! We look forward to hearing from you!
Day-of Event Volunteering
Passionate about working registration tables or passing out water cups? We love to have volunteers on their feet and helping out on the day of an event! While we need many more volunteers on the back-end side of event planning, there are still opportunities to help us out on event day. We need volunteers to:
- Sign people in at registration tables
- Pass out water cups
- Sell merchandise
- Help local vendors
- Assist with course setup
If you’re ready to help us out at our events, fill out our contact form and we will be in touch shortly!
